Information

This was my second costume (my first one being Li Syaoran from Card Captor Sakura) and I made it before Inuyasha was really popular in North America. When I wore Kagome to Anime North in 2003 I was one of only two Kagome Cosplayers at the con. This being my second costume, it wasn't particularly impressive. About 90% of the sewing was done by my mother and the shirt was store bought. We added the collar, tie and cuffs to it. The green fabric was made from broadcloth, which worked out colour wise, but it wasn't exactly durable. Still, the costume turned out fairly well. The first few times I wore the costume I had yet to discover the joys of wearing wigs so when I think back on it, I'm a little embarrassed.

I ended up borrowing a wig from Pan when I wore this costume to the CNE in 2004 and that really made a world of difference. I enjoyed Cosplaying Kagome especially when Pan, and later my friend Kevin, Cosplayed as Inuyasha. At the CNE, Pan took a bunch of nice character pictures of Kevin and me together. I learned a lot from this costume thanks to watching my mother, which helped me improve my skills. Still this being my second costume, I look back on it with fondness. This was quite a comfortable and fun costume to wear and that is why I wore it quite a few times to different events.

Events/Conventions this costume was worn to
Halloween J-Pop Dance (2002), Clubs Day (2002), Halloween (2002), Anime North 2003 (Friday), to the CNE on Friday, September 3rd, 2004 and to the Science Centre on Saturday, November 13th, 2004
